As a side benefit of running a website list SweetSoundtrack.com, I get to reacquaint myself with a lot of really great movies and their soundtracks. As a feature/goal of the website, I want to build a definitive list of the 100 best movie soundtracks of all time. I’m sure other have tried this, but like any movie/music buff, I think we can do a better job. As an added bonus, I’ll be able to easily feature song clicks and full track listings using the parent site.

SweetSoundtrack.com is a new resource for quickly obtaining soundtrack information for all your favorite movies. If you are anything like me, you regularly hear an awesome song in a movie and immediately want it for your itunes collection. The problem is, unless I wait for the credits, I need to go online to figure out the name of the songs I liked. “Sweet Soundtrack” solved this problem for me – and hopefully you too! Simply type in a movie, and get a soundtrack list. Nothing more, nothing less.

I have a lot of plans for the website moving forward. In the near term, I want to integrate with iTunes, so you can hear samples of the songs from the website. I also aim to add scene descriptions, along with the ability for users to add scene description on their own.

It’s been an exciting journey developing sweetsoundtrack.com. What started as a quick side project to teach myself the ASP.NET MVC3 framework, has finally blossomed into a “proof of concept” that I’m happy to share with the world. I hope you like it!
